DIVORCE CERTIFICATE PROCEDURE IN PAKISTAN
Below is the divorce certificate procedure in Pakistan
- Draft a divorce deed.
- Send a copy of the deed to the wife.
- Submit the original divorce deed to the Arbitration Council along with an application and a copy of the ID card.
- The council will send notices to both the husband and wife.
- Both the husband and wife will have to appear before the council with two male family members.
- The council will try to have conciliation between the spouses for at least 90 days.
- In case the reconciliation fails, the releavant authority will issue the divorce certificate to the spouse.
